To what degree does technology drive enrollment?

Just wondering what folks think about this idea.  It is my firm belief the the world of education is changing fast and that schools that do not have the ability to keep up will lose students.

  1. Pacific Coast Christian Academy in Salinas, CA is adding iPads in 2012-13. Technology costs, but there are surprisingly creative ways to help defer them. I agree, we have to keep up! Isn't that a part of providing an excellent education?

  2. Yes, I believe it is becoming a key part of an excellent education. I don't believe we ever can or should remove the human element (the teacher) from the equation but unfortunately many in the independent school are a little too tied to the "back to the basics" idea. I agree that from a curricular standpoint, the basics are huge but from a curricular delivery standpoint we need to be more forward thinking.
